Our onboarding team will reach out with the next steps and request you complete the send necessary forms for review and completion to begin setting up and moving accounts. In this process, you will receive aperwork/DocuSign requests via email from Schwab Alliance.

HOW AM I ABLE TO SEE MY ACCOUNTS AND TRACK MY INVESTMENTS?

Once your accounts are established, our onboarding team will send over logins to our client portal. The Fiat website (hosted by Orion) will synchronize with your Charles Schwab accounts a few days after creation.

WHO CAN I GO TO WITH QUESTIONS IN THE FUTURE?

HOW DO I CREATE A SCHWAB ACCOUNT?

To get started, navigate to the Schwab Alliance website and click on the “New User” hyperlink, which is just below the place to put in your login credentials. You will need to
enter one of your account numbers, date of birth, phone number, and social security number.

While we encourage you to set up your Schwab Alliance login, we still recommend Orion as the best and most straightforward way to view all accounts in the household at once.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET EVERYTHING MOVED AND FULLY SET UP WITH  FIAT’S RECOMMENDATIONS?

Please note: Transfer times can vary based on contra-firm and/or other outside factors.

Accounts: Once you sign the Paperwork from Schwab Alliance, the accounts will take a day to be opened.

Transfers: Transfers from non-employer-sponsored plans (IRA, Roth IRA, TOD, etc) will take 1-3 weeks to come over in kind. Transfers from your accounts are initiated when account establishment paperwork is signed unless otherwise noted. We will follow up every few days to ensure everything is in order. · If anything besides transfer signatures is required, we will contact you via phone or email - Employer-sponsored plans (401k, 403B, 457, etc.)

Employer-sponsored plans (401k, 403B, 457, etc): Our Onboarding Team will email you to schedule a call with your plan. Depending on the plan, getting the assets over to Charles Schwab can take anywhere from 10 business days to 30 business days, depending on the plan rules. **Generally, plans will send you a check, and once you receive it, you can mail it to us at 1905 Wayzata Blvd #320 Wayzata, MN 55391, where we will send the check to Charles Schwab via a tracked envelope.** PLEASE NOTE: Occasionally, when we transfer funds, it will show a $0 balance in your old account and $0 in your new Schwab accounts. This is due to the funds being debited from your old account and on their way to the new Schwab accounts. This problem resolves itself after 3-4 business days once Schwab receives your funds.

Insurance: This will vary depending on the type of insurance. Anywhere from a few weeks to a few months should be expected. In a way, retirement is a metaphorical “dream home” for your finances - it should be a place where you can feel confident, secure, and completely comfortable for years to come.

MAINTENANCE: Maintaining your home is essential to ensure it remains safe, comfortable, efficient, and valuable. Regular upkeep and repairs are part of responsible homeownership and can save you money and stress in the long run. The same goes for your financial plan. You will meet and/or speak with your advisor on a consistent basis, making any updates or changes along the way. In addition to that, you will have a dedicated Client Service Manager by your side as well as a full team of experts in operations, marketing, and customer service working behind the scenes on your behalf.
